On May 21, 2012, Superintendent Deasy invited applicant teams to participate in the fourth round of Public School Choice (PSC 4.0) to help improve student achievement at 13 underperforming "focus schools."

3.0 Participating Schools

On November 2, 2010, former Superintendent Ramon Cortines invited applications for Public School Choice 3.0, the third round of a process to improve public education in the lowest achieving schools (“focus schools”) and on newly built campuses for schools opening in the fall of 2012.

Request for Proposal

The PSC 4.0 RFP includes the list of participating schools, submission directions, the timeline and the appendix application materials.  The application questions and evaluation rubric are more concise and focused than in previous rounds and is in alignment with the changes outlined in the Local School Stabilization & Empowerment Initiative of 2011.

Complete applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012
